Adopt or Foster Kiva Animals!

Please visit our "Kiva Animals" page on this site to see pictures of some of the Animals available...

ADOPTION OPTION

The "Adoption Option" provides you with the opportunity to give a "forever home" to a Kiva animal with the understanding that if ever, for any reason, you find that you cannot keep the animal or continue to give it proper and complete care, attention and housing, you will return the animal to Kiva (at your expense).  You will not OWN the animal, but will be providing for him or her all its needs.  In return, you will receive love, adoration and appreciation from the animal, and also own whatever he or she produces.  For example, if a female alpaca is adopted and she is bred and has a cria (a baby alpaca), you will own that alpaca and can either keep him or her, or sell him or her...your choice.  You just may never sell an animal adopted from Kiva.  That's basically it!  If this is of interest to you, please contact Kiva via this website or by telephone and all the details can be discussed.  Adoption is a big responsibility, and not one to be taken lightly.  We look forward to hearing from you!

FOSTER CARE

Foster Care is the option to choose if you are looking to provide temporary aid and assistance with care and housing to Kiva animals while the non-profit is a bit too challenged to do so as well itself.  Perhaps the economics are making it difficult over a temporary period of time, or maybe the non-profit is in the midst of some major building project(s) or other transitions.  You will have the opportunity to get to know and to love a particular animal or animals and know that there is a beginning, middle and end to the process.  You will provide all the care and housing needs at your expense (fully tax deductible to you) and consult regularly with the Kiva Connection regarding special needs and any and all other aspects associated with animal foster care.  Qualified Foster Caregivers must be approved by extensive interview and reference checks, and commit to the process via contract with Kiva.  If this is of interest to you, please inquire!  We look forward to hearing from you.
